Supporting our Local Dorking Community

26 November 2025

HJP Chartered Financial Planners has been established in Dorking for over 30 years, so supporting our local community is incredibly important to us. Here are some of the local events, groups, and charities we’ve been proud to support recently.

Arts Alive Festival, Mole Valley

We support the Arts Alive Festival every year, but for 2025 we were delighted to sponsor the finale evening on 6th November. It was a fantastic event, rounding off a month full of creativity in our local area. Highlights included a stunning performance by local soprano a cappella group Vivo, and an inspiring performance by composer, writer and broadcaster Jack Pepper.

Halloween Hunt, Dorking

Did your child or grandchild take part in the Dorking Halloween Hunt? We were pleased to sponsor the event this year, and it was wonderful to see so many children enjoying this fun half-term activity. There will be six prize winners, who will receive their prizes on stage at the Christmas Festival.

Dorking Rugby Club

We’re thrilled to be an official sponsor of Dorking Rugby Club! As passionate rugby fans, we look forward to cheering on the teams and connecting with supporters this season. Wishing every team the best of luck!

Dorking Wanderers Football Club

We’re also proud to continue our long-standing support of Dorking Wanderers Football Club. As avid football fans, we always enjoy watching our local team and meeting fellow supporters.

Financial education in schools

In primary school, children learn to read, write and solve maths problems from a young age, but when it comes to managing money, many don’t receive meaningful education until much later.
At HJP, we believe financial education should start early. By giving young people the tools to understand money, we help set them up for a lifetime of confidence and informed decision-making.

We continue to deliver free financial education workshops in our local schools, including at St John’s C of E Primary School in Dorking.

The Amber Foundation

A local charity we regularly support is the Amber Foundation, which operates a residential centre in Ockley, Dorking. Amber provides a safe temporary home and practical support for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them rebuild their lives.

From joining fundraising events such as Hike on the Hill to delivering our annual Christmas gift bags, Amber is a charity we’re passionate about supporting year after year.

See you in 2026!

We believe financial freedom should be accessible to everyone, and we look forward to supporting even more local events and charities in 2026.
